Only one day away from being 39 weeks pregnant. I honestly thought this day would never get here! It's been a long grueling road, filled with every challenge imagineable, but at last I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am scheduled for my C-section on December 31st at Noon. So, I will be bringing in the New Year with a pink little bundle of joy wrapped up in my arms. What a way to bring in 2010! Hopefully she will be a sign of new joys to come our way this year. I will sure be happy to say goodbye to 2009. I think I can honestly say this has been the most challenging year of my life. Full of many losses and many heavy hearts. Looking back at my life two years ago, never would I see myself standing where I am today. Everything has changed, and I don't mean just the shape of my body! Yes, I've been calling her thumper because she's always thumping me like the rabbit Thumper (and of course we don't have a name for her yet...ooopse!)

In my 31 years here on earth, this is the first Christmas Eve that I have ever spent alone. I usually travel to Arizona to see my Mom and Sisters for Christmas, but this year I am 39 weeks pregnant and therefore unable to travel and make the trip. My heart goes out to those who have nobody to spend the Holidays with. I have been so very blessed with a close knit family all these years and now I know what it's truely like to spend one alone (and let me just say that it SUCKS!!!!!) When Sienna and Tristan went to their Dads house this afternoon I did manage to have a little fun with Kyla. My Kyla Bear and I ventured down to the beach in our little Santa hats to stick our toes in the sand and watch the Christmas Eve sunset (something I have never done, guess it's a Christmas Eve of firsts) After the sun set on another Christmas Eve gone by, we stopped for our traditional pizza feast. On the way home Kyla fell asleep with visions of sugar plums and wouldn't wake up for anything, so I sat alone in front of the twinkling lights of the tree and tried to enjoy my pizza in the uncomforting chilling silence of an empty house. It was the still silence that brought me to tears and my heart felt so empty! I miss my family and I miss my babies! I have tried all day to be positive and thankful for what I do have, but being pregnant and alone at the Holidays is unbearable!!!

The Sound of Music

My little Kyla Bear is discovering her voice! She loves to sing along to familiar songs that come on the radio. We all know her favorite "The Single Ladies" by Beyonce. Well, the other night I decided to put the Sound of Music on for the kids. They had never watched it before, but Kyla fell in love with all the singing and was singing along, even though she had never heard any of the songs. At the end of the movie, when the VanTrapps are all hiking up the mountain and they sing that song "Climb every mountain" Kyla turns to all of us arms outstretched to the side and opens her mouth wide to belt out an "AWWWWWWWWW" but it appears she is only pretending to belt out the last note of the song. It was to cute! We all started cracking up and then she hid in embarrassment. We tried to get her to do it again, but she just didn't do it justice the second time around. She just wasn't as dramtic, this was more like she was just lip synching. Still cute though.

Kyla is two!

Here are some pictures from Kyla Rayne's Tinkerbell Birthday Party. Considering we had to change the party to Sunday cause nobody could make it on Saturday everything turned out pretty good. Jenna and I experiemented with fondant for the first time and I think we did a fantastic job considering. Kyla was pretty cute opening up all her presents. She would rip one little piece of paper off the gift and she had to throw it in the trash herself, before continuing. She enjoyed all the gifts and even the clothes. She is all girl! Loves the shoes and purses and she'll tell you, "Mommy....look....awww cute!" If she likes an outfit. She's too much! Well, here are some pics...enjoy~

Kyla Rayne is two!

My how the time flies. I can't believe my baby girl will be two tomorrow. Has it really been two years since I first held my 8lb 6oz Kyla bear in my arms. It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating her first Birthday Party! With her yummy turtle cake. She loved "Tutles" Now it's "Bell Bell" (Tinkerbell) and "olphins" (dolphins) and thanks to Cay Cay "Elmo's world". Well, here are some pictures of Mommy's photo shoot with her soon to be two year old Kyla Bear. She was afraid of the back drop I put up, so I had to stand on my head and beat myself up a couple times to even get a smile out of her, but I think they came out okay.

Kyla modeling her new big girl bikini. It was only $5 at the GAP and we had to get it because it looked just like Auntie Sasha's suite. Now they can be twins! I asked her to pose for the picture and she striked the pose with her little shoulder out. It was too cute!

Kyla decided to join her cousin Cay Cay with his therapy. She really enjoyed bounching on the balls with Cay Cay, while listening to some of his favorite country songs. Caydon also enjoyed the company and had an awesome therapy session. Probably because he wanted to show off to his Auntie Audra!

While the adults played a couple of rounds of "Nurtz tell it hurtz...baby" Kyla was feeling a little lonely, being the only kid still awake. So, she decided to climb up and read her, already snoozing, brother a bedtime story.
